Recap of the weekend

It really was a hell of a weekend. It started on Friday night when the Foo Fighters came to Binghamton. It was a sold out show, and everyone rocked out to their tickets' worth. Against Me opened the show, but I wasn't able to see most of their set since I had to wait outside with Tracey for her friend. We were only waiting right outside, so I was still able to listen to the songs I knew. They sounded great. We were finally able to get in and sneak up real close to the stage. Serj Tankian from System of a Down was next, and he put on a decent show in his white suit and top-hat. He has terrible posture, but a great singing voice. As far as his solo career goes, however, most of the songs were either very similar in melody, or drowned out by their distortion-enthusiast guitarists.

Finally, the Foo Fighters came up, and although I was never a tremendous fan, they knew how to put on an excellent and entertaining show. They played every single that I could think of, from "There goes my Hero" (my favorite song of theirs) to "One by One" (my least favorite song of theirs). Still, an excellent show.

Anyway, check out these text messages I saw during the concert:

1) During Serj Tankian: "SYSTEM OF A OPEN FOR FOFOFI!!"
2) During Serj Tankian: "OMG SCARY GUY WTF?"
3) During Serj Tankian: "THE MUSIC IS SOOOO LOUD"
4) During Foo Fighters: "OMG DAVE GROLE!!!"
5) During Foo Fighters: "OMG SO HOT WANT ROCK BABIES"
6) During Foo Fighters: "OMG I LOVE THIS SONG <3 <3 <3" *Sent for 5 songs in a row
